Baked in the US, by Giovanni of Angelo Inglima Pastry of Sicily with the best of ingredients from both Sicily and the States. Starting with the “lievito madre” or “mother” sourdough with a minimum 36-hour slow fermentation process, buttery, rich naturally leavened sourdough enhanced with the most delectable apricots from Sicily. Once baked the cake becomes fragrant with jam like semi candied apricots from Sicily, each slice studded with these gorgeous apricots. Truly an incredible product with straightforward ingredients.

All of the wonderful ingredients used to bake the Angelo Inglima Colomba’s offered here, are a bridge between Sicily and the US, sourcing the best local ingredients, like butter and eggs from farms in Upstate New York, Connecticut and New Jersey, but main staples like flour and select raw ingredients —such as the fragrant apricots used in this Colomba from Italy and Sicily.
