Sicilian Zibbibo Wine Gelée

Zibbibo is an ancient muscat grape varietal— Moscato d’Alessandria or Muscat of Alexandria—thought to be brought to Sicily through it s much storied and conquered past. This drought resistant varietal is extremely versatile in its original form, free of genetic alterations perfect as table grape, dried as a raisin and of course cultivated as wines—ranging from light and dry to a more fruity orange wine which is gaining in popularity to a more decadent dessert wine which this grape is more widely known for.

This Zibbibo wine Gelée has a wonderfully intense aroma of ripe golden muscat grape similar to the classic Marsala. Rich honey colored and sweet yet bright candied citrus undertones makes for a perfect pairing with an aged cheese. Perfect for a dessert course.
