Ingredients
500g Maiorca flour
130g Sugar
2 Eggs
16g Baking powder
Half glass sparkling wine or sweet wine like Malvasia
Lemon and/or orange zest of 1 lemon
Neutral oil
Ingredients to finish:
Lemon Glaze to your preference
Preparation:
Mix the dough until it becomes soft (but not sticky)
Roll into 1cm logs
Cut the logs into 2cm pieces
Use a shallow frying pan to fry with two inches of oil maintainingtemperature at 350-375 Β°F.Fry until they turn gold for no longer than 3 minutes
Taste one to check they arecooked inside too
Take them off the fire and place on paper towel to absorb excess of oil
Allow to cool slightly and then in a bowl toss with your preference of lemon glaze
Serve warm
